When the fitness centers closed a year ago, Kate quickly made the switch to virtual 5K runs, fitness classes, and personal training. She is always looking to add variety to her workout routine as long as there are no burpees involved. We appreciate Kate’s dedication to her health and being an advocate for the Arrow fitness and wellness programs. Keep up the great work and continue to collect those running metals!

What motivates you to stay active?
I have two retired racing greyhounds (well… one retired, one failed the puppy program) and they are so much better behaved with two walks a day. I’ve noticed what a difference it makes for me to take that time. I have joined three virtual running clubs that sponsor various charities and get Race Bling.
What do you like most about the Arrow fitness and wellness program?
Having my fitness program in my work building makes my wellness efforts so much easier. I like splitting a training package with a colleague I don’t get to work with as much these days. I get the benefit of strength building with relationship strengthening.
What is your favorite exercise?
I really love dancing, and miss being in studio. For strengthening you can’t beat a good push up. I’m not great at them, but they are simple and effective.

1. I’m a crafter. I spin, knit, crochet and dye yarn. If I had sheers I’d even take the fleece off the sheep or alpaca!
2. I love to bake and have been making my way through a baking bucket list from the Great British Baking Show.
