Marie gives 110% effort into every class she takes and workout she completes. She is willing to try any exercise we throw her way, no matter how complex it may be. We miss her positive energy in class but are happy to see her join the virtual fitness classes when she can. Keep working hard and we are looking forward to hopefully seeing you back in the fitness center soon!
What motivates you to stay active?
I’ve always loved being outside and being active (plus it’s so much easier with 300 days of sunshine)! As a former division 1 athlete, I am lucky to have teammates close by who like to go on hikes in the summer and ski in the winter. Working out with friends or in a group (when possible) always keeps me motivated and having fun.
What do you like most about the Arrow fitness and wellness program?
The Arrow fitness program has done a tremendous job keeping the classes engaging and challenging during Covid. My favorite part is the wide variety of classes offered specifically with Jess or with other Elevation live instructors. Having classes offered at all times during the day really helps me limit my excuses for not getting my workout in.
What is your favorite exercise?
Hmm, I have never thought about this before, but I’d have to go with something that incorporates both cardio and strength such as a frogger to stand or jumping jack push press. 2 birds with one stone
List 3 fun facts about you, interests, or hobbies that you enjoy.
1. I’ve recently picked up golfing. Very frustrating, but fun
2. I love to travel and be immersed in different cultures. After things open back up, I hope to get to Asia.
3. I’m originally from New Jersey, so my favorite breakfast sandwich is Porkroll, egg and cheese! For all the non-NJers, you have to try it.
