Courtney is one of our Arrow group exercise instructors and gets the opportunity to teach Pure Cycle on Mondays at Panorama. She is an expert at bringing the fun to each of her classes! Courtney will crank up the music, challenge members, and make sure everyone has a great experience. Join Courtney this month for the Pure Cycle Class Challenge to see how many miles you can accumulate on the bike in her four December classes. The most miles accumulated will win!

What motivates you to workout?
I am very motivated by the challenge and growth that comes with working out. I’m excited by the process I see over time, whether that’s in my strength or skill in a new sport, activity, or class. I find that every six months or so I like to add a new hobby or program to my rotation. I think it’s important to keep your routine fresh so you don’t feel burnt out or bored.
Why do you enjoy teaching Pure Cycle at Arrow?
Teaching Pure Cycle classes is a highlight of my week! I love getting to know everyone who takes my class and seeing each person progress over time. I enjoy planning my classes around the music and the physical goals of each class, whether that be strength, endurance, or power. I think exercise classes should be fun, and as I say at the beginning of each class, “this is your class,” meaning I want each person to make the class their own, pushing extra hard or resting, to get exactly what they need out of each class.
What is your favorite strength or cardio move?
Indoor cycling of course! I love the variety that comes with indoor cycling. Within the cycling realm, my favorite part is the hills. I love to crank up the resistance and challenge myself.
