Jared decided to switch up his workout routine and give classes a try a few months back and hasn’t looked back since. His drive to improve his strength and athleticism is apparent every time he comes in for a workout. It’s also awesome to see him workout with his wife Melanie on a regular basis. They are quickly becoming a fitness power couple!
What motivates you to get in the gym every day?
My biggest motivating factor is change. I decided I no longer wanted to be overweight, out of shape, and sedentary and sought to change my habits, lifestyle and how I feel about myself. I use the gym as personal time where I can separate myself from day to day activities and focus on my own well-being. By realizing the difference between being healthy and not, I have developed habits where going to the gym is no longer a chore but a lifestyle.
What do you like the most about the fitness center?
The best thing I like about the gym is how accessible it is. Whether it be before, after or during work hours there is always an opportunity to get a workout in or do some cardio. This eliminates excuses and helps me keep my own fitness goals and stay on track. The classes are a nice bonus where they focus on more HIIT workouts rather than weights or just cardio.
Tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I love being outdoors, playing sports and spending time with my wife and kids. I play in a softball league but I also enjoy going on hikes, walks or the park with my family and friends. Currently my time outside of work is spent taking care of our three little ones but we make it a goal to separate ourselves from the day to day chores and technology to stay active and enjoy activities outside of the house.
Way to go Jared - so motivational!!
