The Green Smoothie
This is a great recipe to help you get more fiber, nutrients, and antioxidants in your diet. Enjoy in the morning, with lunch, as a snack, or even as a dessert!
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups of frozen assorted fruits (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, bananas mangoes, up to you)
- 1 Teaspoon of honey
- 2 sliced apples
- ½ a sliced cucumber
- 1/3 of a bushel of spinach
- 2 stalks of kale, chopped
- ½ a container of strawberries
- 2-3 cups of water
Directions:
- Place water, sliced cucumber, apples, spinach, and kale in blender. Blend on high for 20 seconds, or until the greens are blended.
- Place strawberries, frozen fruits, and honey into blender. Blend on high for 20 seconds, and then low for 40 seconds, or until entire mixture is blended.
- Enjoy a glass of the Green Smoothie and pour into sealable jars/containers for future use.
